Lunch & Learn with the League. "Climate Change: Global Causes, Local Impacts and the Way Ahead" Lunch at 12:00 pm
As governments around the world have failed to act decisively to halt human induced climate change, it has progressed to the point of crisis. This presentation will provide an overview of the causes and consequences of the climate crisis, explore how California and Monterey County will be affected, identify strategies for mitigation, and review climate-related legislation currently pending in Congress.
Our speaker is Mike Clancy. He earned a B.S. in Oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology, and a M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Miami.
