The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country is a 501(c)(4) organization. Donations to the General Fund or the Kay La rue Scholarship Fund are not tax-deductible.
Donations to the Education Fund are a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization that is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We rely on dues and donations to support our programs.
Alternatively, you may earmark your donation to our special fund:
Kay La Rue Scholarship Fund: The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country established the Kay La Rue Scholarship Fund to commemorate the accomplishments of Kay L Rue's observer activities. Contributors donate to this Fund to help defray the cost of membership to prospective members who are on a limited income.
Education Fund: Your tax-deductible gift will enable us to continue to provide public forums, voter registration activities, the election Voter Guide, "Your Government Officials" pocket guides, and outreach in our community. Checks to this fund must be a separate check made out to the 'League of Women Voters Education Fund'.
