We support measures to further good government through the support of non-partisanship in local government and the support of legislation which permits increased flexibility in California State law governing general law counties.

Support of all efforts to improve services and responsiveness to the diverse voices of many communities in the City of Los Angeles. Los Angeles should continue as one city.

Support for retirement benefits as a means of recruiting and retaining good city employees. Support for measures to lower the cost to the City of these benefits.

Support of the Police Commission in its Charter-given role as head of the police Department, and its ability to remove the Chief of Police with concurrence of the Mayor and City Council.
