The Texas Election Protection Coalition is recruiting volunteers to support voters during Texas Primary; Polling place monitors and attorneys are needed in order to prepare for the March 3, 2020 Texas Primary
In order to protect, advance, and defend the right to vote, the Texas Election Protection Coalition, led by the Texas Civil Rights Project, Common Cause Texas, the ACLU of Texas, the League of Women Voters of Texas and 20 other state and local organizations, operates the nation’s largest nonpartisan voter protection hotline and the state’s most extensive volunteer polling place monitoring effort in the state.
More volunteers are needed to safeguard the upcoming March 3, 2020 Texas primary. Volunteers may register at www.texasvoterprotection.org and learn more about how to help here: LWVTX Election Protection page.
In addition to helping millions of voters, the volunteers will encourage eligible Texans to vote in the upcoming 2020 elections, forecasted to be the largest in the state’s history.
“The League’s mission is empowering voters and defending democracy. We are proud to be a part of this coalition. So far 22 Leagues across the state are involved in the Texas Election Protection Coalition.” said Grace Chimene, President at League of Women Voters of Texas.
